2021-2022 NorCal Regional Championship Details

March 12-13, 2022

Judging

Judging will be done remotely on Saturday, March 12th. Teams will have a scheduled interview in the morning between 8:15am and 11:45am that will include a 5 min team presentation followed by 15 min of Q&A with the judges. During the lunch break, teams will be sent the afternoon schedule (also posted online). Each team will be given a 30 minute slot to be available in a Zoom session where they will have a minimum of 10 mins of Q&A with judges. These slots will be between 1:30p and 4:15p.

Inspections

Each team will need to have their robot inspected on site. Inspections will be on Saturday evening for teams that are willing/able roughly in a 6:30-8:30p window. Those teams will be able to drop off their things in the pits (but not set up). Remaining teams will be inspected prior to game play on Sunday morning. All teams must pass inspection by the time stated to be able to compete in the event. (Schedule will be out after teams confirmed and inspection numbers for Sat/Sun decided.) Saturday night inspections will be limited to no more than 4 team members and 2 adults.

Game Play

Teams will be divided into two divisions and each division will play on two fields. Each division will play 5-6 qualifying matches before selecting alliance partners and then proceeding to elimination matches. The winners of each division will then play each other for the Regional Championship.
