NorCal FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament Registration :: 2019 SKYSTONE

Tournament registration will take place in 3 “waves”. Each wave is made up of four registration windows and covers the registration for a month’s worth of tournaments.

1st Play is reserved for teams that have not yet registered for a qualifying tournament. 2nd Play is reserved for teams that have only registered for a single tournament. 3rd Play is for teams that have already registered for two tournaments.

Teams that are from the areas outside of the NorCal FTC Region may register for NorCal tournaments during the “Out of Area” window. “Out of Area” teams will need to contact NorCal FTC via email (at ftc@playingatlearning.org) to become enabled to register and once enabled, will receive an email with a registration link.

NorCal teams that have not yet registered for three tournaments may indicate their interest in attending additional tournaments by signing up for the WaitList by sending an email to ftc@playingatlearning.org. The WaitList is an ordered list.  When tournament space becomes available, it will be offered to WaitList teams in order. If a team in the WaitList declines an opportunity, they are moved to the end of the list and the option passes to the next team.

All teams should be aware that FTC policy limits teams to advancing (and winning judged awards) only at the first three qualifying tournaments they attend (see Game Manual Part 1, Section 7.2 and 7.3).

All registrations are done through a per-team link found in the “Team List” in the rightmost column. (or via emailed link for “Out of Area” teams)

Payment for registration is done through the link on the registration confirmation page. Or here if you lose the link. Please note that the fee for qualifying tournament registration is based on a sliding scale; $150 for 1st play, $175 for 2nd play and $200 for 3rd play and beyond.

November Qualifying Tournaments

  • 1st Play :: Thurs 10/10 @ 7pm
  • 2nd Play :: Mon 10/14 @ 7pm
  • 3rd Play :: Mon 10/21 @ 7pm
  • Out of Area :: Thurs 10/24 @ 7pm

December Qualifying Tournaments

  • 1st Play :: Thurs 10/31 @ 7pm
  • 2nd Play :: Mon 11/4 @ 7pm
  • 3rd Play :: Mon 11/11 @ 7pm
  • Out of Area :: Thurs 11/14 @ 7pm

January/February Qualifying Tournaments

  • 1st Play :: Mon 12/02 @ 7pm
  • 2nd Play :: Thurs 12/05 @ 7pm
  • 3rd Play :: Thurs 12/12 @ 7pm  Delayed until Mon 12/16 @ 7pm (see NorCalFTC mailing list for announcement)
  • Out of Area :: Mon 12/16 @ 7pm Delayed until Thu 12/19 @ 7pm
