Key Volunteer Roles Needed

Saturday  Sunday
4-8pm 8am-3pm Judges  (prefer both days but could volunteer Sunday only)
 – 9am-3pm Judge Match Observers
4-8pm 8am-12pm Interview only Judges
Saturday or Sunday is okay
4-8pm  8am-12pm Inspectors
Saturday or Sunday is okay
 – 9am to ~7pm Referees other Game Field personnel

Google MapTake Mowry Avenue exit off I-880 and turn towards bay (west).   Turn left onto Cedar (2nd light).   School is on the right.   The main entrance is at the intersection of Cedar and S Magazine Drive  (there is a traffic light at the intersection).

Campus Map     Best entrance to the main parking lot is in front of the Event Center building.   Overflow parking is in front of the main part of the school – there are multiple lots  – Competition & Pits in Pavilion.   Judging will be in classrooms (TBD)

What to Expect

WHEN YOU ARRIVE,  please go to the Pavilion Lobby and check-in.   That is where we will have volunteer check-in.

 

ON SATURDAY:

At 4pm, we will start PIT setup and then the COMPETITION AREA setup.

At 5:30pm, we will start TEAM CHECK-IN as well as robot inspections and judging.  Team Check-in will be in the Pits which is in the upstairs of the Gym.

 

ON SUNDAY:   Team pits open at 8am.
The early morning will be spent:

  • Team checkin –
  • final robot inspection –  for those that did not pass or complete this on Saturday
  • judging interviews  –  for those that did not pass or complete this on Saturday

 

 

We will have Opening ceremony at ~10:15am, followed immediately by the beginning of the qualification rounds.  The qualifying rounds will finish in the early afternoon, after a short lunch break. Our goal is to finish all qualifying rounds no later than 2:30pm  – we need your help to make this happen.

 

Once qualifying matches are complete, we will hold alliance selection for each division.  We will have 4 Alliance Captains that will each select 2 partners.    Alliance Selection will be followed by a short break, and then the elimination rounds.

 

The end of the elimination rounds will be followed by the presentation of awards, and the closing ceremony.   We would really like to be all done by ~5:30pm but we need your help to do that.
