We are pleased to announce the following team grant options for Northern California FTC teams:

Application is required for all grants – links at bottom of article.

1)  Northern California  FTC teams with demonstrated need are eligible for a grant from LSI Corporation for $600.  Teams must meet and members must reside in the following cities:   Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose, Milpitas and Fremont.

2)  New or returning Northern California  FTC teams with demonstrated need are eligible for a grant for up to $1200.    There is a very strong preference to fund teams that have a majority of members from under-represented groups in engineering and science.

3)  Northern California FTC teams from Tri-Valley area (Livermore, Amador and San Ramon valleys) and San Joaquin County are eligible for up to $1200 grant from LLNL.

4)  Northern California Graduation Grants!  If the majority of the FTC rookie team competed most recently in FLL (or JrFLL), we have a small grant that increases in size for each year that the team competed in FLL (or JrFLL).  Depending on how many applications are received and length of time,  we are expecting to award from $250 to upwards of $750 (possibly more) per team.

5)  Northern California FTC teams that have not registered yet (but don’t have to be rookie team) with a commitment to use the PTC software (WindChill, MathCAD and/or Pro/E) are eligible for small grant.

6)  Rookie teams in/near Yreka or Bishop may be eligible for a JC Penney grant – special conditions apply.  Contact us if you are near either town.
